Brazilian vocalist Bebel Gilberto is back in the U.S. and will be kicking off her tour in Washington D.C. on November 23. She’ll be playing songs from All In One, her rhythmically focused new album that’s mostly sung in Portuguese.
Gilberto continues to put her own poppy spin on the heart and soul of traditional Brazilian music. There are a slew of guest collaborators on the All In One, including including Carlinhos Brown (Caetano Veloso), Didi Gutman (Brazilian Girls), Mark Ronson, Daniel Jobim (grandson of Antonio Carlos Jobim) and John King (the Dust Brothers.) Mark Ronson produced the Stevie Wonder-penned song “The Real Thing,” which was originally recorded by Sergio Mendes.
