In September, Duran Duran will be releasing their 14th studio album, Paper Gods. So, in celebration of their upcoming album, the band has premiered a new track, “Last Night In The City.”
“Last Night In The City” features guest vocals by Kiesza, the Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist that is best known for her charting singles, “Hideaway” and “Giant In My Heart.”
This new song relies on synthesizers, bass, and the relatively tight harmonies between Duran Duran’s lead singer Simon Le Bon and Kiesza in the chorus. In short, it is a disco-infused anthem that is has the potential to become very popular on club playlists, because it’s an up-tempo song that will inspire you to move.

Paper Gods is the long-awaited follow-up to the band’s last album, All You Need Is Now, which was released in 2010. Their new album will be released in the United States on September 18th, but the album will be available for international fans beginning September 11th, 2015, via Warner Bros. Records. Additionally, according to a previous article, the band has made plans to release the album in “four configurations: a standard 12 track CD along with its digital equivalent, a deluxe CD featuring three bonus tracks, a standard vinyl double LP with the original 12 tracks and a limited edition Vinyl Factory Deluxe LP box set.”
Paper Gods is currently available to pre-order, and if you pre-order a digital version, one of the instant gratuities is the ability to listen to the first single, “Pressure Off,” which features Janelle Monáe and CHIC co-founder Nile Rodgers. Apart from Monáe, Rodgers, and now Kiesza, the album also features appearances by the former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante; British singer-songwriter and producer Mr Hudson; Mew vocalist Jonas Bjerre and violinist Davidé Rossi; and even, actress/singer Lindsay Lohan makes an appearance on one track to perform a spoken-word piece.
