Brooklyn indie-rockers, Parquet Courts are set to drop their brand-new 12″ EP, Monastic Living, under their new label-home, Rough Trade this November 13th.  The band also plans to expand their tour with a few added gigs in earnest support of Monastic Living.

Signaled as an astounding follow-up to last year’s triumph, Sunbathing Animal and their release, Content Nausea, under the clever moniker: Parkay Quarts, Monastic Living continues the musical-evolution of these part Brooklyn/Texan natives as they traverse the waters of inventive-songwriting and craftsmanship.

Launching their debut album, American Specialties as a limited-release cassette in 2011, Parquet Courts achieved massive critical-acclaim from both the independent and mainstream-rock circuit with their next album, Light Up Gold, originally released under frontman, Andrew Savage’s Dull Tools label(2012) before it’s reissue via What’s Your Rupture? in 2013.

Mainly cruising the key-points of Europe, Parquet Courts current tour will stop at a few surprise “hot-spots” in the U.S. to mix-it-up a bit before coming to a close in their hometown of Brooklyn, NY on December 12th.
