Twin Shadow announced a North American tour that they’ve named “Night Rally,” which will include make up shows for dates that were postponed following the band’s April bus crash.
The bus accident occurred in Colorado and involved Twin Shadow’s two tour buses that were carrying 12 band and crew-members, and a mobile home, along with two tractor-trailers. According to the Aurora, Colorado, Police Department, the cause of the accident was due to poor weather conditions that included snow, rain, and fog.
There were injuries to members of the band and crew, and those people were transported to hospital. It was later released that the band’s drummer Andy Bauer was in serious condition, and their frontman George Lewis Jr. – better known as Twin Shadow – “had to undergo reconstructive hand surgery and later discovered a tear in the PCL and Meniscus of his left knee,” according to Gigwise.com. Additionally, one of the two bus drivers was hospitalized for his injuries following the crash.
Now that the injured have healed, Twin Shadow is heading back out on the road in late August for a two-month run of shows that begins on August 21st in Portland, Oregon. The band will weave there way around many regions of the United States with shows in locations like Chicago; Dallas, Texas; Raleigh, North Carolina; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; New York City; Sacramento, California; Orlando, Florida; and Phoenix, Arizona, amongst many others. And, the band has also announced a block of Canadian dates with shows in Vancouver, British Columbia; Edmonton and Calgary in Alberta; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Winnipeg, Manitoba. Everything will wrap up with a show in Hollywood, Calif., on October 17th, 2015.
