Spirit Club has released yet another track, this one called “Fast Ice,” which may appear on the group’s second album.
Spirit Club is comprised of Wavves’ Nathan Williams, Sweet Valley’s Joel Williams and Jeans Wilder’s Andrew Caddick. They released their debut 7″, “Eye Dozer”b/w “Sling,” via Williams’ Ghost Ramp label in October 2014. In late January 2015, they released a new track called “Still Life,” the released a music video in February for their song “Duster.” Their self-titled debut LP features all four of the above tracks, as well as six others. It was released via Ghost Ramp on May 12.
“Fast Ice” was not on the album Spirit Club, but it may appear on their sophomore album. The song is an indie rock track with a mid-tempo beat and lots of great harmonies. It could be compared to the Beach Boys, but with a more modern sound. There is a main guitar part with other instruments playing a role intermittently, like a tambourine and keyboard. The track is poppy but somewhat haunting, and clocks in at just over two minutes. Listen to “Fast Ice” below.
