Psychedelic garage-rock band Thee Oh Sees announced that they will be releasing a new album, “Mutilator Defeated At Last”, on May 18, 2015, via Castle Face.

In December 2013, after almost two decades creating psychedelic garage punk-rock, Thee Oh Sees announced that they would be taking an indefinite hiatus from touring and playing shows, but they promised new music in the coming year. Some five months later, in 2014, Thee Oh Sees released a solid new album, “Drop”.

Now, in addition to being back with a new album, the band has announced one show in Arizona, and a series of dates this spring in Texas, including a stop at Austin’s South by Southwest festival (SXSW) in March. Then, they will head to Europe in May, according to the website, AVCLUB. At this time, no U.S. or Canadian dates have been announced following the release of “Mutilator Defeated At Last”. But, we have listed the spring tour dates in Arizona and Texas, along with the currently announced European dates, below.

Since the hiatus, the band underwent a change in lineup, as bassist Petey Dammit and drummer Mike Shoun are no longer with the group. So, the new Thee Oh Sees lineup on “Mutilator Defeated At Last” is John Dwyer, Tim Hellman, Nick Murray, Chris Woodhouse, and Brigid Dawson, according to Pitchfork. Additionally, Woodhouse recorded and mixed the album for the band, and then John Golden did the final mastering on the nine tracks.
