Just a week after the announcement of their forthcoming third album, Best Coast has officially released a new song to get us excited for what’s to come.
The song, which also happens to share the same name as the album, is titled “California Nights.” It’s everything you would expect it to be: a slow-burning track graced with lead singer Bethany Cosentino’s soothing voice singing of those hazy California nights. In true Best Coast fashion, Cosentino desires a lover singing, “Baby, oh baby if you’re mine.”
The accompanying video flows seamlessly with the song, displaying scenes of the tranquility of the desert sunset layered over scenes of the duo and an unforgettable green-eyed cat. It perfectly captures the magnificence of California and all of its natural beauty.
California Nights is out May 5 via Harvest Records.
