Irish arena rock monsters U2 are again involved in a new cycle of album/tour hustle and bustle.
At first, the band has released their latest album Songs Of Innocence, the one that has caused a lot of controversy and even made musicians to apologize for a ‘gross invasion,’ with U2’s album automatically downloaded to hundreds million people worldwide owning an iTunes account.
After that, the band has announced that their latest LP is only the beginning, with two more records – Songs of Experience and Songs of Ascent – to be released in order to form a trilogy.
Then, recently Bono has suffered multiple injuries in a major bike accident in New York’s Central Park, and will require intensive therapy, although ‘expected to fully recover,’ according to the hospital’s orthopedic trauma surgeon.
And now, in spite of each and every good and bad news, the band has announced iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour 2015, a follow-up to their super successful record-setting 360° Tour, that will include two-night shows in every place U2 will be performing and 4 (!) performances both in Los Angeles’ Forum and New York’s Madison Square Garden.
Bono gave his primary commentary on the upcoming tour:
“We are going to try to have a completely different feeling from night one to night two, and have some fun playing with the idea of innocence and experience.“
According to the press release, tickets for the U2 iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour 2015 go on general sale beginning Monday, December 8th. As usual, there is an exclusive priority pre-sale for U2 Fan Club subscribers from Thursday, December 4th at 10am through Saturday, December 6th at noon (all times local). Tickets will be general admission on the floor and reserved seating in the stands.
Wishing Bono to get well soon, let’s get prepared for the new U2’s massive touring, with new songs to be played and new records to be set!
