George Watsky is an American rapper and poet from San Francisco, California. Watsky performs slam poetry, and has been featured on Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry on HBO. Watsky’s talents began to receive national and international acclaim in 2006 when he was the Youth Speaks Grand Slam Poetry Champion. He was also named Brave New Voices International Poetry Slam Champion.
After the release of two studio albums and multiple EPs, Watsky released Cardboard Castles in 2013. The first single off of the album was “Strong As An Oak,” which was followed by “Moral of the Story” and “Hey, Asshole.” He toured extensively after the albums released in major cities in the United States and Canada including, Austin, New Orleans, Gainesville, Orlando, D.C., Philadelphia, Northampton, Boston, Denver, Los Angeles, Toronto, Vancouver and New York City.
In early 2014, Watsky announced the album title, All You Can Do. Watsky explained in a vlog that he wanted to keep his family in ties with the album and stated that his father would be on the cover and that he would like his mother to be on an alternate cover. The first single from the album is “Whoa Whoa Whoa.”
