With the announcement of the full tracklist, we’ve finally got a better look at what to expect in The Lips’ next release. Miley Cyrus is just one of more than 23 artists that are collaborating with The Flaming Lips on the upcoming Beatles’ cover album.
This latest album from the Flaming Lips is, of course, a tribute to the legendary Beatles. The album, With A Little Help From My Fwends, is a cover of the entire Beatles original, and looks promisingly trippy, in the psychedelic style The Lips are known for. Wayne Coyne posted the colorful and messy list on Instagram four days ago, and if the visual list is anything to go by, this album is going to be nuts. The Oklahoma band has pulled together a real hoard of “fwends” to partake in the Beatles madness.
In addition to working with Miley, and the tracklist confirms that this tribute album features Tool’s Maynard James Keenan, MGMT, My Morning Jacket, Tegan & Sarah, Phantogram, Electric Wurms, and tons more. You can check out the full tracklist below and get excited for the fast-approaching October 28 release.
