California native indie rock group Foxygen has confirmed their latest album …And Star Power for release on October 14th. Accompanying the release of the album are dates for their latest tour, which is currently underway.
Foxygen is on a roll lately, releasing their second album in two years, and unleashing a massive tour to accompany their upcoming studio effort …And Star Power, a tour that features nearly fifty dates and encompasses as many cities. Not bad for a group whose lead vocalist suffered a broken leg after falling off the stage at a concert over a year ago.
Recently, the group has also released a video for “How Can You Really,” a single off of their newest effort. The video shows the group in a cubicle-style office, a la the cult film Office Space. The energy of the group is powerful, blasting through the video screen and permeating into real life, vocalist Sam France almost literally bouncing off the walls of both the cubicles and the “storage room” of the office where the group lays down their signature sound.
You can look forward to the group’s newest record on October 14th and be sure to catch the video for “How Can You Really,” and find out when and where the group will be performing here.
