Happily reunited New York City-based art-pop duo Cibo Matto have announced their 2014 ‘Fall Flavor‘ tour dates. The band will be performing in collaboration with the guitar legend Nels Cline. Live shows will take place in the U.S. in September and October.
‘Crazy Food’ (Italian interpretation of the band name) named ‘Japanese Beastie Boys disciples’ by Rolling Stone, will be touring United States in support of their February-released LP ‘Hotel Valentine’, band’s first record since 1999 and since their 2011 reunion.
A mix of untypical pop, trip-hop, with a pinch of acid jazz and cabaret, together with the charisma of Japanese artists create a marvellous atmosphere around the duo’s last record that one can not comprehend at once.
Nels Cline, a husband of the band’s instrumentalist Yuka Honda, will undoubtedly add even more avantgarde and mystery to Cibo Matto sound, involving us deeply into the beautiful mind of extravagant Japanese.
A listener of Cibo Matto is an inquisitive cosmopolitan not afraid to try something new. And a person capable to relax.
