Listen up Louisiana. The Voodoo Music Experience, an annual music & arts festival in New Orleans, released their 2014 lineup. This year’s festival, which runs from Oct. 31-Nov. 02, will be headlined by Foo Fighters, OutKast, Arctic Monkeys, and Skrillex.
In addition to those very big names, Voodoo Music Experience is also bringing in some well known niche talents; notably, electronic dance music producers Flux Pavilion, Pretty Lights, and Zedd. And, if EDM isn’t your scene, there’s going to be the rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars, Canadian dance-punk duo Death From Above 1979, and American punk-rock band Rise Against, who are gearing up for a July release of their album, The Black Market. Then, there are the older bands like The Melvins and Slayer, who are still tearing it up in concert many years after their founding. But, that doesn’t even begin to account for the tip of the musical iceberg, check this out:
According to the festival website, a three-day pass has a starting price of $130, when tickets go on sale next Friday, June 27th, 2014, at 11 a.m. But, if you can’t wait until then, there is special early-bird pricing available now with the password: VOODOO, according to a recent post on the festival’s Facebook page.
