November is shaping up to be the month for music events in Philly. The most recent addition addition to the fall lineup is Fitz and the Tantrums. They’ll be headed our way this November with a stop at The Electric Factory. Grab your tickets now to see Fitz and the Tantrums, with special guest Big Data, when they hit the stage on November 7th!
Fitz and the Tantrums, the neo-soul/indie pop band, formed back in 2008. Their debut album, Pickin’ Up the Pieces, was released in 2010 and reached number 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. In 2011, Rolling Stone named them a band to watch, describing their sound as “a modern spin on Motown.” Also in 2011, Fitz and the Tantrums began performing their hit singles “Moneygrabber” and “Don’t Gotta Work It Out” on the late night shows with appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Conan, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
In May of 2013, Fitz and the Tantrums released their second album, More Than Just a Dream. The album’s lead single, “Out of My League,” reached number 1 on Billboard‘s Alternative Chart later that year. Also that year, Philly welcomed Fitz and the Tantrums to our Made in America festival. Although the band played the opening slot of the day, they managed to attract a huge gathering to their performance. With plenty of fun dance hits, Fitz and the Tantrums had the crowd moving despite the unbearable heat. We’re excited to see them return to Philly this November!
