With so much exciting talent happening right here in Philly, it may be hard to keep up. If all of the shows we announced last week weren’t enough, Johnny Brenda’s is bringing even more Philadelphia talent to the stage this summer. Bel Heir and Cruiser are two up-and-coming indie pop bands that are making a name for themselves at home and at large. Support our hometown guys on July 18th at Johnny Brenda’s.
Although Bel Heir has existed for over 6 years, they finally feel like they’ve gotten their groove and have a collection of music that they are ready to show to the public. You can stream their track “Out of Our Heads” on the band’s SoundCloud. Can’t get enough of these guys? Good news – Bel Heir is opening for The Chain Gang of 1974, along with Blondfire, at Boot and Saddle later this week.
Also taking the stage at Johnny Brenda’s on July 18th is fellow Philadelphians Cruiser. Cruiser began as a solo project in 2012, working out of a bedroom right here in Philly. Andy States, the band’s founder, released Cruiser’s self-titled EP which was met with much success online. He gathered some friends, and eventually the group would release “Kidnap Me.” Catch both of these Philly acts this July at Johnny Brenda’s!
