
During the Power to the People Festival on Saturday, Oct. 3, Bruce Springsteen and Tom Morello invited a multitude of rock ‘n roll legends, including Dave Grohl, Joan Baez, Dave Matthews and Nathaniel Rateliff, to the stage.The legendary rock jam session started off with Springsteen taking the stage and performing his tribute song to Renée Good and Alex Pretti, “Streets of Minneapolis.” Afterward, Springsteen invited Joan Baez to perform a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Chimes of Freedom.”
Tom Morello performed “Clampdown” and “The Ghost of Tom Joad” by The Clash. These weren’t the only guests on the roster. The next guests included Dave Matthews and Nathaniel Rateliff. They performed a cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Fortunate Son.” Then Dave Grohl joined the stage and stood next to Springsteen while performing Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World.”
For a grand finale, at the end of the night, after all the rock legends joined the stage, the show ended with a performance of Woody Guthrie’s “This Land Is Your Land” and John Lennon’s “Power to the People.”
