Lucy Dacus has released “No Thank You, I Love You, Goodbye” in celebration of the 10th anniversary of her debut album, No Burden, which she has revealed she has acquired the masters for. The song was originally written during the No Burden era and has been performed by Dacus live eight times over the past ten years. The song was recorded with fellow Richmond-native collaborators Adrian Olsen and Lucy’s guitarist Alan Good Parker. An official lyric video has been released alongside the song, featuring an animation of handwritten red text on notebook paper, as if a letter is being written. Accompanied by the fuzzy sound of an electric guitar, Dacus is haunted by a past unhealthy relationship, recalling past experiences while acknowledging that love alone is not enough and concluding the song with the line, “No thank you, I love you, goodbye.”

Throughout the summer, Dacus headlined shows in Mass MoCa, Asbury Park and more, as part of her largest tour to date in support of her album Forever is a Feeling, which was released in March of 2025, along with an extended version titled Forever is a Feeling: The Archives, being released in October that same year. She has also recently performed at several music festivals, including Newport Folk Festival, Outside Lands and Bumbershoot, along with performing her first ever symphony show with the Chicago Philharmonic at Millennium Park. Her upcoming concerts include a performance in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and Cat Power, who will be performing her 2006 album, The Greatest. It will feature never-before-heard orchestral arrangements of Dacus’ songs from Forever Is A Feeling and throughout her critically-acclaimed discography arranged by Phoenix Rousiamani, composer and member of Lucy’s band.
