Logic1000 and Christine and the Queens have teamed up for “The Only One,” a warm, atmospheric new collaboration that pairs electronic music with a message of hope for the next generation. The track is the latest preview of Logic1000’s upcoming second studio album, Confirmation!, due October 2 via Therapy/Because Music. It also marks a particularly meaningful creative reunion for the two artists, who first connected when Logic1000 remixed Christine and the Queens’ “La vita nuova” in 2020.

The song’s central idea is particularly timely. “The Only One” is ultimately about young people inheriting a world that is far from perfect and about trusting them to build something better. Christine and the Queens approaches that idea with both urgency and tenderness, framing music itself as a place where hope can survive. That idea takes center stage in the accompanying video, directed by Dora Paphides and choreographed by Lucy Brooks, with Sky Cook serving as assistant choreographer.
“Music has to be a vessel for hope,” Christine and the Queens says of the collaboration, dedicating the song to “the young who will change this world.”
The young dancers move together throughout the film, creating a sense of community and shared passion. Their presence gives the video a natural connection to the song’s message: the future isn’t some distant abstraction. It’s already here, embodied by a younger generation finding its own voice and figuring out how it wants to move through the world. For Logic1000, the video is significant for another reason. “The Only One” marks the first fully realized music video she has released, making the collaboration with Paphides and the dancers an important visual extension of the project.
