Peaches is back with a new visual for “You’re Alright,” one of the standout tracks from her latest album, No Lube So Rude. Directed by Oscar-shortlisted filmmaker Agniia Galdanova and co-starring performance artist Jenna Marvin. At just over two minutes, “You’re Alright” doesn’t waste much time getting to the point. The track runs on hypnotic electronic production and industrial-leaning beats, with Peaches delivering an unapologetically physical performance that feels part dance-floor release, part personal pep talk.

Set against the streets of Paris, Peaches is pursued by strange, latex-clad figures that seem to have come straight out of her own imagination. Rather than simply escaping them, she eventually begins to recognize them as parts of herself. What starts as a chase becomes an act of acceptance, with the different versions of the self ultimately coming together as one. It’s an appropriately strange visual for a song that refuses to be neatly categorized. Galdanova frames the video around identity, vulnerability and defiance, using the surreal imagery to explore what happens when the parts of ourselves we might normally hide are instead embraced.

The new video arrives as Peaches prepares to return to the stage with her boundary-pushing live show. Her North American tour kicks off this week, with dates across the U.S. and Canada before the tour continues into Latin America in November. The shows follow international dates earlier this year and continue the theatrical approach that has made Peaches’ performances as influential as her records. The timing feels fitting. If No Lube So Rude is about pushing back against expectations, “You’re Alright” is perhaps its most direct reminder to keep doing exactly that.
