The Linda Lindas just dropped a music video for their new song “Everybody Told Me.” The track comes from their third studio album GOTTA GET OUT, which was released this past Friday (August 28th).

​Directed by Amalia Irons, the visuals complement the haunting, somber sound of the song. The abandoned, old house, paired with the long white gowns the band members are clad in throughout the video, is a signature staple of the horror genre. The fading transitions from scene to scene give it a dreamlike feel, as if things are happening rapidly and all blending into a complicated mesh of emotions and experiences.

​“‘Everybody Told Me’ is always so fun and magical to play, and it was also a really collaborative song to write,” Mila De La Garza, the band’s drummer, said. “That back-and-forth environment brought out so many different ideas from all of us, which led to the call-and-response in the bridge and our first-ever fade-out ending! We really dove deep into our emo and sad vibes on a few songs on this record, and had a lot of fun with this one in particular. There was also a lot of spooky creative direction with the ghostly, Victorian feel of the music video—something we’ve never done before.”

​With the new release of their album, the Linda Lindas will set out on a North American tour starting next month. They’ll be joined by several special guests at various locations, including The Rat Utopia Experiment, Deux Visages and Grace Bowers. It’ll kick off on September 16th in Sacramento, California.
