Looking to attend an event that’s a little bit different from everything else going on in Philly? The Non-COMMvention Showcase might be the perfect alternative, with a killer lineup over its three days. The event, which is “the premier national gathering of contemporary and non-commercial music stations and the music industry,” will mark its 14th year in Philly this May. Everything goes down at World Cafe Live. And you can purchase a 3-day pass to guarantee admittance to all of the scheduled events.
The event is perfect for music lovers and anyone interested in the radio and music industry. Business Professionals from across the US will gather at World Cafe Live for the 3-day showcase. This year’s lineup features both established talent as well as exciting new emerging acts. Some of the acts you can check out this May include The Hold Steady, The Districts, The Both, Hozier, Counting Crows, Chet Faker, Lykke Li, Norah Jones, and Hurray for the Riff Raff. There’s even an opening night party hosted by Haim.
In addition to a great set of performances from over 30 amazing acts, attendees will also be treated to an array of meetings, like “The Tori Dilemma: Core Artists and Building New Audiences,” focusing on music industry issues. Check out the Non-COMM site for a complete list of scheduled events.
