Australian producer, Flume, will be bringing his melodic electronic tracks to the US for an upcoming 30-stop tour. He hits the Union Transfer stage on July 25th for what is sure to be an amazing performance. If you didn’t have a chance to catch Flume when he was here playing the TLA back in September, I highly recommend you get tickets for this upcoming show.
Born Harley Streten, the 22 year old producer began creating music at the age of 13, after receiving a music production program in a box of cereal. Streten was discovered and subsequently signed in 2011 after winning a competition. The three tracks he submitted would make their way onto his first EP, Sleepless. In 2012, Flume released his self-titled album and has been gaining global attention ever since. Also a huge star at home, the album reached number one on the Australian iTunes chart. And at last year’s ARIA Music Awards, he walked away with 4 awards, including Best Male Artist, Breakthrough Artist, and Producer of the Year.
If his solo work didn’t keep him busy enough, Flume created the DJ duo What So Not, along with fellow Sydney DJ/producer Emoh Instead. Their first song, “Jaguar,” received over 15,000 plays in the first few hours of its release on SoundCloud this past November. Flume also released a collaborative EP with friend and fellow Australian Chet Faker, entitled the Lockjaw EP.
Don’t miss Flume when he heads to Philly this July!
