Trivium brings pulsing metal on new EP.
Orlando-based band Trivium is know for the erratic and in-your-face metal music. The last EP the band released was Deadman and Dragons. And now, Trivium are back with the powerful EP, Struck Dead. Although the EP only has three songs, the music is fabulous with how each track bleeds music creativity and how much the growth the band has experienced throughout the ears. Struck Dead gives listeners a chance to hear Trivium performing intense and creative music on a higher scale.
Kicking off the EP is “Bury Me With My Screams” and what is fabulously great about the composition is how the head-banging instrumentation brings a face-smacking heavy metal vibe. Yes, the chorus is harmonic, but the whole thing has fast-paced guitar and drum playing that matches the endless havoc the vocalist is screaming and yelling about. “Bury Me With My Screams” is a top-notch jam that will sound just as amazing live.
Now, “SixWalls” is a bit different from the previous tune because the instrumentation brings a slower and more intimate feeling before the skull-crushing metal music takes over with sheer power. The slow and beautiful music welcomes listeners to the band’s world where anything is possible because soon enough, sharp guitar riffs and drum beats welcome people to a insane world that has deep human connection within the madness on “SixWalls.”
Ending the EP is the title track “Struck Dead.” As a whole, the number is wonderfully played by how listeners will get welcomed with blazing and deep guitar riffs that brings a sharper style of metal music, while the vocalist is powerfully yelling out the deep lyrics. Another great part about the ditty is hearing the brief and thrilling guitar solo smacking the background with blazing notes. Although the chorus is harmonic, “Struck Dead” is a ear-bleeder that concludes things on a hight note.
Trivium brings their all on Struck Dead and surely, the band will be dazzling minds when they perform the song live. For those who enjoy hearing heavy and loud metal music, the EP will satisfy their needs with the band’s endless and creative energy.
