The ever evolving musician is performing tomorrow at a Chicago Tehouse. Hermann Hesses’ existentialism will get the Corgan treatment.
We recently announced the latest stunt the lead singer of Smashing Pumpkins was planning; the “ambient, instrumental interpretation” of the legendary german novel Siddartha will take place tomorrow at noon Central Time Zone at Madame ZuZu’s. Today the official twitter account of Smashing Pumpkins posted a link to a live broadcast of the experiment.
According to Corgan’s own words the interpretation will be “built by modular synthesis, on the fly”, the ‘on the fly’ part makes complete sense given the novel – a 80 year old classic – talks about a deep journey of self-discovery and spiritual enlightenment: the journey of a man through it’s own experience and existence. We should expect experimentation, electronic sounds and hopefully, music and sounds that reflect the novel’s core.
