Queens of the Stone Age maintain their march towards domination of the year 2013 with the release of an interactive video for track “The Vampyre of Time and Memory.”
The video for “The Vampyre of Time and Memory”, which comes from the QOTSA chart-topping album …Like Clockwork, released in June of this year, was directed by Kii Arens and Jason Trucco, and produced by The Creators Project, a partnership between Intel and VICE that encourages technological innovation amongst artists.
It fits the outpouring of imaginative videos QOTSA have released this year to a tee, trumping them only with its interactive capabilities. Compare the animated awesome of such videos as “If I Had A Tail” and “Kalopsia” with what they’ve concocted for “The Vampyre of Time and Memory” – click here to catch the interactive experience, or view the official video from YouTube below.
Until their next jaw-dropping video release, QOTSA dutifully remain on the road, following a tour that wrapped last month in Mexico City, and was highlighted by outstanding performances at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple and Lollapalooza. Expect continued greatness as they’ve announced additional dates in Europe and the U.S., and will soon be touring Australia with Nine Inch Nails.
If you can’t get enough QOTSA, look tomorrow for the release of three-track EP …Like Cologne on Spotify, which features live takes from the band’s September 4th show in Cologne, Germany.
