With the release of Tyler, The Creators anticipated 7th album, Chromakopia, his tour is set to begin in the upcoming month on Nov. 16 and end in Sept. of 2024. The tour will stop in Chicago on Jun. 30, 2024, at the United Center.
Tyler, The Creator began making music in 2011 with the release of his first album, Goblin. He became an instant sensation with his gravelly, one-of-a-kind vocals and outside-the-box themes. He is also known for his work as a producer, working with many artists, including Frank Ocean, Steve Lacy, Lil Wayne, and more.
He gained the attention of many with what has been described as a “strange figure” emerging on the scene. His artistry and general attitude are somewhat different from other celebrities. He is known for his sarcastic and raunchy humor.
Since his first album’s release in 2011, he has taken off running. He has released a total of 7 albums, 3 instrumental versions of those albums, 16 singles, and one EP. He credits his musical inspiration to the likes of Pharell Williams, Eminem, Kanye West, Erykah Badu, and more. His music is often provocative with a tinge of soul mixed in.
His newest album, Chromakopia (2024) has been anticipated by his fans since the release of his previous album, CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST, in 2021. This album was written, produced, and arranged by Tyler himself. This album is primarily a hip-hop and soul album but there are aspects of jazz as well. The album is narrated by Tyler’s mother and is about his upbringing.
