Maya Hawke, the Stranger Things star and the voice of Anxiety in Inside Out 2 released her third album, Chaos Angel, in May of this year. She most recently came out with a new EP, Clipped Wings, which came out yesterday. According to Brooklyn Vegan, Hawke just announced a 2025 tour which will take off in Seattle on March 10th. The daughter of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman has really evolved as a musician, allowing this last album to let her become adventurous and explore her sound, more than she had on the last two records. Collaborating with Benjamin Lazar Davis and Will Graefe, while Christian Lee Huston served as the producer of the project, helped create a strong collaborative and creative process for Hawke. Many of the tracks on the record are grounded by strong vocals from Maya and complimentary sounds of an acoustic guitar. Most of Hawke’s music can be categorized as alternative, indie, or folk. Whichever genre she chooses to lean into, seems to flow perfectly with her evolution as a musician and singer/songwriter. Tickets to the New York show at Brooklyn Paramount on Wednesday August 2nd are still on sale, and selling for as cheap as $53 USD. for General Admission Floor.
