This 90s Rock band was established in 1993 in Washington State but is now based in Portland Oregon. Founding members include lead singer and guitarist Issac Brock, drummer Jeremiah Green, and bassist Eric Judy.
Over the years, they have had a plethora of members who have come and gone. The remaining six are original members Issac Brock, Tom Pelsos, Russell Higbee, Ban Massarella, Simon O’Connor, and Damon Cox.
Their first album, This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About, was released three years after the band’s formation in April 1996. A few months later, they released an EP as well. The band took off running and hasn’t stopped since.
Altogether, they have eleven albums, ten singles, and five EPs. In 2004, they released an album called Good News For People Who Love Bad News. This album was an immediate success with title tracks like “Float On” and “The World At Large”.
Just this past year, the band released Good News For People Who Love Bad News: 20th anniversary expanded edition.
This tour is a celebration of a deeply influential album of the indie rock and alternative persuasion. Modest Mouse will be performing in Chicago at the Salt Shed on Nov. 14 with opener The Black Heart Procession. Tickets can be purchased now through Ticketmaster Ticketmaster.com.
