English writer Neil Gaiman and his wife, musician/performance artist Amanda Palmer are set to release a 3 CD set documenting their An Evening With Neil Gaiman & Amanda Palmer concert series.
Shortly after their marriage in 2011, Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer hit the road for a short, 6 date tour of the United States’ West Coast. For the two hour sets Gaiman, author of the Sandman graphic novels and Coraline to name a couple, did readings of his poetry and prose while former Dresden Doll Palmer treated audience members to her brand of smart, vaudeville inspired songwriting. When fans wanted the shows recorded as a live album, the couple successfully took to Kickstarter to crowd-fund the project.
The 3 disc set, which is already available for pre-sale on Palmer’s site, includes one CD dedicated to Palmer’s songs, one CD dedicated to Gaiman’s readings, and a third disc featuring their collaborations. As a special treat in support of the set, the duo will perform November 22nd and 23rd at New York City’s Town Hall, their first time performing together in the state.
The An Evening With Neil Gaiman & Amanda Palmer set is out November 19th and can be pre-ordered here. Gaiman & Palmer will also be departing on a shortened tour, set to kick off at the end of October.
