Manhattan alt-rock outfit Luscious Jackson has confirmed a couple of shows this winter. It will be the first time the band has performed live in over a decade.
Luscious Jackson, originally formed in 1991, disbanded in 2000 but reunited in 2006 and again in 2011. The group had the funding for their fourth album, Magic Hour, crowdsourced by fans online and it drops on November 5. Adam Horovitz of the Beastie Boys has been friends with the members of Luscious Jackson for a while, and assisted on the new track “So Rock On.”
They will do live shows at Philadelphia’s Union Transfer on November 23 and at New York City’s Webster Hall on December 7.
