Timothy Lambesis known for his work as frontman for the band As I Lay Dying, has been accused of a most unfortunate crime.
Lambesis will be forced to appear in court facing possible charges for the attempt to murder his wife by hiring a third party.
There was a hearing September 16th in San Diego in which lawyers put together a trial against the As I Lay Dying frontman. Lambesis has been accused of paying a hit man posing as a police detector approximately $1,000 to murder his estranged wife Meggan Lambesis. Lambesis also provided the alleged hit man with pictures and gate codes to the couples home. To confirm his alibi, Lambesis informed the police detector he would be watching over their kids during the ordeal.
Although Lambesis has not yet plead guilty, his attorney Thomas Warwick has been quoted claiming Lambesis had been using steroids which may have altered his state of mind.
In a statement to the press, Warwick was quoted stating:
“His thought processes were devastatingly affected by his steroid use.”
The couple had been on the rocks while musician Lambesis was on tour and proclaimed he wanted to end their relationship. Meggan later discovered he was having an affair.
Lambesis has been released on a $2 million bail beginning in May. He has been required to wear a GPS monitor at all times as well as stay away from Meggan Lambesis and their three adopted children.
