In unbelievably exciting news, Queen guitarist Brian May has revealed a full length album of the band’s previously unreleased work may soon be on the market.
May spoke in a recent interview with iHeart Radio of the new album’s possibility, and definitively said that in the next two months, there would be “something for folks to hear”. This includes three tracks Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson recorded together in 1983 that were never released to the public. According to May, these songs could possibly be arranged into an album with other unreleased music the band has come across.
Said May:
We thought we’d exhausted everything that was around and could be worked on, but since then a number of things have come to light from various sources that we’d just plain forgotten about, including the stuff with Freddie and Michael Jackson. Just a couple of weeks ago, we thought: Maybe we shouldn’t be just working on bits and pieces? Maybe we should be heading towards an album? It just might be.
Here’s keeping our fingers crossed.
