Exciting days for Earl Sweatshirt. Fresh off a European tour alongside, among others, Eminem, the Los Angeles rapper is set for his first solo headlining tour to kick off this October. All this after the release of chart-topping album Doris in late August – seriously, the guy’s not even twenty yet.
Sweatshirt has generated buzz ever since he first appeared on the scene in 2009, when he was discovered through Myspace, subsequently joining Tyler, the Creator’s rap group Odd Future. After a brief parental exile in Samoa, he returned, appearing on numerous songs and building anticipation for his debut album. When Doris finally dropped in August, Earl Sweatshirt was a known commodity, and the album tore up the charts.
So again, busy days. Earl Sweatshirt was recently heard from on “Between Villains”, a new Captain Murphy (aka Flying Lotus) song for Adult Swim. Additionally, plans for a collaboration with old groupmate Tyler, the Creator were announced only a few days ago through NME. Check below for tour dates and ticket links.
