Folk rock group The Avett Brothers have recently announced a fall 2013 tour that will take them to parts of Canada and the U.S.
These dates will complete the touring cycle for the Grammy-nominated band’s latest album, 2012’s The Carpenter, which has been critically acclaimed as “an album that achieves rootsy bliss” by People. The Avett Brothers are also known to have energetic live shows, called “one of the most engaging and enthralling live acts of the 21st century” by ARTISTdirect.com.
This year, the band has appeared on both ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!” and NBC’s “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” twice. They even performed, by Kimmel’s request, the title track of their 2009 album, “I and Love and You,” with the Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra. The Avett Brothers are also joining folk ensemble Old Crow Medicine Show on a couple of stops on their summer tour.
