Throughout the month of September, a train with artists representing a variety of medias will be stopping in certain areas of the US. Created by artist Doug Aitkens, The “Station to Station” tour will start in New York, and reach San Francisco.

Doug Aitkens, creator of “Station to Station”, is a multimedia artist, so it is no surprise that this touring train will not only include musicians, but various types of artists as well. From visual artists, to writers, chefs, and more, STS is planning to incorporate as many forms of creativity as possible.

With the purpose of raising money for programs at art museums across the US, the tour will be documented on film and be made into a book. “Our intention is to create a modern cultural manifesto. For a short time, the most interesting place in the country will be a moving target”, says Aitkens.
