A remarkable 25 years have passed for R.E.M. following the release of Green, their sixth studio album, as well as their major label album debut for Warner Bros. Records. To celebrate the anniversary, the band has announced they are releasing a remastered package that includes live recordings from their late ’80s Green World Tour.
The reissue will be released May 14, via Rhino Records, and will be available both as a 2-CD box set and a 180-gram vinyl. Disc one will contain the entire original album, while disc two features songs from R.E.M.’s stop in Greensboro, North Carolina during the Green World Tour.
Adding to the anniversary excitement will be the release of the Live In Greensboro EP on Record Store Day, April 20, which includes 5 tracks that didn’t make the reissue edition. Read below for a complete track listing of the upcoming releases.
