California based country rock band, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real (POTR), have announced a 2024 tour in support of their new album, Sticks and Stones. The group will be playing two nights in San Francisco at The Fillmore on February 28 and 29.
Lead vocalist Lukas Nelson is the son of legendary country singer, Willie Nelson, whom the band have toured with frequently. The group got their start in 2008 when Nelson dropped out of college to pursue music, having been inspired by a Neil Young concert. The band’s first release was an EP of live recording appropriately titled, Live Beginnings. POTR began touring with Willie Nelson in 2009.
Since their inception, POTR have had a number of impressive collaborations including multiple studio albums, live albums, and tours with Neil Young. The band have received features from the likes of Kesha and Sheryl Crow, and worked on the A Star is Born soundtrack with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. Their most recent album, Sticks and Stones, released in July. Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real are lead singer Lukas Nelson, drummer Anthony LoGerfo, bass guitarist Corey McCormick, multi-instrumentalist Logan Metz, and percussionist Tato Melgar.
