Warbeast has just announced the news of their upcoming album, Destroy scheduled to hit the shelves on April 2, 2013. Read on for more details.
The track listing has yet to be revealed but the members are anticipating its release. Vocalist Bruce Corbitt told Exclaim.ca:
“This album is simply meaner and heavier than our first. We’ve managed to keep the variety we had, but we allowed ourselves more freedom to go beyond the traditional songwriting patterns. It’s less predictable. We’ve evolved as a band, and Destroy proves it.”
Four days after the album release, the band will be in Fort Worth, TX preparing for CD release show. This is the only confirmed date of 2013 that is separate from the Weed and Speed Tour with Down, that just concluded. Unfortunately, fans will have to prepare to see a new face on stage with the band as bassist Dre Karst has chosen to leave the band. Karst’s current occupation provides too many scheduling conflicts with the band and while the rest of the boys are saddened, they are grateful for the time he did spend in the studio with them. Read the full statement below:
WARBEAST Bassist Dre’ Karst will be leaving the band because he is unable to keep up with our busy touring schedule due to his work occupation. We are saddened that Dre’ has to leave the band. But we will be the first to acknowledge that Dre’ did an amazing job while he was in WARBEAST. He only had two weeks to prepare to record our upcoming full-length album Destroy. He also kicked ass at all of the shows and on the three tours with Down. So please everyone… join us in giving Dre’ his props for what he accomplished in his time in WARBEAST. THANKS SO MUCH DRE’!!! We will miss ya bro… thanks for being part of our family.
So obviously that means that WARBEAST is now on the hunt for our next bass player. Please only serious musicians contact us about this. Obviously we need someone that can tour constantly and that has a schedule that will work with WARBEAST. So for those interested please send an email to brucecorbitt@yahoo.com.
Stay tuned for any more details pertaining to the band and their upcoming album.
