How often do you get the chance to see a living legend in person? You could make the most of that opportunity when Diana Ross takes on Radio City Music Hall on June 29th.
The 79 year old singer is still going strong, and is celebrating her iconic career with a USA and Europe tour that will honor her stardom by playing the singers’ top hits of the last 60 years.
Ross’s career kicked off as the leading member of The Supremes, a Motown quad turned trio that became one of the most popular groups of the 1960s. To this day, The Supremes are still the best charting female group in history, including 12 Billboard number 1 songs.
In 1970, Ross struck out on her own–officially leaving The Supremes, where she immediately found success. “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” was the first single on her debut album, arguably one of the most famous songs of all time, and certainly a huge hit for Ross.
Her success continued as the decades rolled on, “I’m Coming Out” and “All of You” being two notable examples of her popular songs in the 1980s and 1990s.
Now in the 21st century, 60 years after her music career started, Ross is still releasing music, her album Thank You, released in 2021 along with a few singles to go along with it.
On top of that, Ross is celebrating her historic success in music, with this year’s tour. Starting today, June 15th, in Saratoga California, Ross will be visiting 8 US locations before coming to New York City’s famous Radio City Music Hall.
The tour promises to include music from all of the Diana Ross discography, a celebration of her decades of talent in performance.
