These hardcore punk rock veterans scheduled to make a well regarded appearance at Sacramento’s premier venue for hard music!
Black Flag is well regarded and known for their music and legendary status in rock in general. Out of all the line up changes they have done over the decades; Henry Rollins is my favorite. He is one of the founding members of the band and went on to do a lot of work in Hollywood and in music, podcasting, spoken word, man the list goes ON. My favorite movie he was on is definitely Johnny Mnemonic starring Keanu Reeves and Dolph Lundgren among many other heavy hitting names like Ice-T, Takeshi Kitano, and Udo Kier.
Black Flag was definitely a band my brother helped introduce me to via his iPod 5. I was listening to it alot and Black Flag was one of the groups on there taking up my time. One song I liked a lot as a teen in high school was Depression. It hit the soul back then for sure. Thinking back on it now that I am older and wiser; I don’t like the profanity of their music but the sentiment remains the same. Favor.
Anyway, so they are predictably playing at the Ace Of Spades. No surprises there, no doubt. The show is on a Friday, got it? So can you make it or not? Can you call out if your minimum wage job has you down for that day? Also, the doors open at 7 pm and the show starts officially at 8 pm. Maybe that is a bit more of a convenient time for you? Oh whatever, I don’t care. Not my clowns, not my car. In lamemens terms, not my problem.
If you are wondering current band members are
Greg Ginn
Mike Valley
Harley Duggan
