Decibel Magazine, one of the biggest names in print for metal fans, is quickly coming up on it’s 100th issue. To help usher in such a huge milestone they have put together a bash here in their hometown of Philadelphia with an incredible lineup. On January 19th, Decibel will be bringing together Pig Destroyer, Repulsion, Municipal Waste, Tombs and Evoke to Union Transfer. Headlining the show will be the legendary Converge. Every attendee who passes through the door will receive a special show-exclusive flexi disc from Pig Destroyer.
Earlier this year Converge released their eighth studio album and their first since 2009, All We Love We Leave Behind. Overall the record gathered positive reviews, including a “Best New Music” nod from Pitchfork. The band returns to Philly after finishing up an extensive European tour and right before they head out for their Australia/Japan tour. Currently the Decibel Magazine show is the band’s only scheduled show in the States and it’s unclear if any others will follow.
