A Swedish metal band comes to San Francisco because why not?
Ok dude so I skimmed through some of their material on Spotify. They have changed so much since their 1995 release. I can appreciate that. What do you want to know in order to help you understand why you would be open to going to this show? Well you already clicked on the link to this article so thanks for that… So I do know you have some interest. Well let me help you. You like Trivium? You like Disturbed? You like Nickelback? Look man, I’m not about to criticize your poor taste in metal and rock… I’m sorry, did I say “poor taste”? That came out wrong. What I meant to say was 2000’s taste in music. Hey, don’t worry I love Deftones’ material from the O’s and don’t forget classic groups like Primus and Rammstein. Great stuff.
I have to mention that no wonder neither or maybe even you haven’t heard of these guys: they are exclusively popular well outside of the United States. Spotify says that out of their 300,000, most of them come from Turkey. Specifically Istanbul and Ankara. Wherever that is. Finland and Chile come next for this popularity index. Then London being last.
If you are wondering, Metal Archives categorizes this group as doom, alt, goth, prog rock etc. I don’t see it but ok. Look, I’m not Wikipedia and I’m not here to tell you more about the band. If you want more go click on my links or look them up yourself. I’m here to sell you a show date. Like it or leave it. And you know me I’m always up late writing you cheeky blog posts and want more sleep. So if I can type it and get away with it I will. Because no one reads this stuff anyway right? Change my mind.
