Celebrate the 10th anniversary of hit album The Whippoorwill by country rock band Blackberry Smoke. The group will perform in Chicago on Dec. 16. Red Shahan plans to open for Blackberry Smoke at The Vic Theatre.
The Whippoorwill, third studio album of country rock band Blackberry Smoke, came out in 2012. As the LP turns 10 in 2022, Blackberry Smoke hits the road for The Whippoorwill 10 Year Anniversary Tour. The Whippoorwill included singles “Pretty Little Lie” and “Ain’t Much Left of Me.” The album did well on U.S. country and rock charts and received generally favorable reviews after its release.
Members Charlie Starr, Paul Jackson, Richard Turner, Brit Turner and Brandon Still make up Blackberry Smoke. The Atlanta band produced Bad Luck Ain’t No Crime as their debut studio album. While The Whippoorwill provided Blackberry Smoke with a commercially successful breakthrough, a few of their subsequent albums too earned high acclaim. For example, Holding All The Roses in 2015 and Like an Arrow in 2016 both topped the U.S. Country charts and U.K. charts.
Country rock band Blackberry Smoke commemorates a decade of The Whippoorwill by holding The Whippoorwill 10 Year Anniversary Tour, with supporting act Red Shahan. Check out their performance on Dec. 16 at The Vic Theatre by visiting AXS.com.
