Glam rock band Måneskin will stop by the Aragon Ballroom on Nov. 17 for their Chicago performance of The Loud Kids Tour.
In 2021, Måneskin dropped their most recent LP Teatro d’ira: Vol. 1, which translates to “Theater of wrath.” The album represents art as an outlet for their anger, specifically targeted at oppression. Singles include “VENT’ANNI” along with international chart toppers “ZITTI E BUONI” and “I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE” with Iggy Pop. In 2022, Måneskin released two singles, “SUPERMODEL” and “If I Can Dream.” The latter song appears on the soundtrack for 2022 film Elvis.
The Italian group assembled in 2016 and released their first studio album two years later. Featuring imaginary muse Marlena, Il ballo della vita or “The dance of life” topped Italian charts with popular singles “Morirò da Re” and “Torna a casa.” Prior to the album, Måneskin placed second on the 11th season of Italy’s X Factor in 2017. On the show they performed mostly covers, but debuted hit original song “Chosen” and released it as a single later that year. The track then appeared on 2017 EP Chosen, along with popular covers such as Black Eyed Peas’ “Let’s Get It Started,” The Killers’ “Somebody Told Me” and most famously The Four Seasons’ “Beggin’” which earned platinum status around the globe.
