Las Vegas is known for having great concerts and tonight the city is hosting the 64th Annual Grammy Awards Show. Stay tuned for updates about news, live performances and the winners.
The red carpet is buzzing with excitement because some bands and artists are already celebrating. Let’s take a look at at some of the bands and artists who have already won a Grammy. The Foo Fighters won Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song, Dream Theater won Best Metal Performance, Chris Stapleton’s song “Cold” won Best Country Song and Carrie Underwood’s album My Savior won Best Roots Gospel Album. The list of the early winners is a long one but it is amazing to see how other bands and artists won an award for their hard work.
While waiting for the show to start it is nice to see how lovely everyone looks on the red carpet. Singer and rapper Doja Cat is wearing a beautiful beaded gown, singer Olivia Rodrigo showed off her glittering pink gown, singer Billie Eilish showed up wearing sun glasses matching her black updo and musician Questlove wore a black jacket that blends in with his purple sunglasses. Everyone dressed up nicely for a classy event.
5:00 pm (PST) Host Trevor Noah welcomes everyone to the Grammys and mentions how great it is to have the award show live in Las Vegas and pumps the crowd up for this years show.
5:01 pm (PST) Band Silk Sonic kicks things off with an amazing funky beat and Bruno Mars Steals the show with his sweet voice and awesome energy.
5:07pm (PST) Noah mentions how pumped he is to finally have the Grammys finally happening this year because the event got postponed in January due to COVID -19 restrictions.
5:09 pm (PST) 19 year old singer Olivia Rodrigo beautifully performs her song “Drivers License” and the crowd absolutely loved it and the whole arena cheerfully clapped.
5:12 pm (PST) Singers J Balvin and Maria Becerra performed their song “Jose” and the crowd felt the musical vibe both artists brought to their performance.
5:21 pm (PST) Questlove presents Song of the Year and he mentioned what it was like for him and his band The Roots winning their first Grammy. “Leave The Door Open” by Silk Sonic won the Grammy for Song of the Year.
5:27 pm (PST) Noah reminds those who haven’t won an Grammy that they are still winner and soon after Noah introduces the next performance which is done by group BTS. BTS sure do know how make a crowd go wild while singing and dancing to their song “Butter.”

5:40 pm (PST) Noah takes the stage to introduce the next performance which has Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow performing their smash hits, “Dead Right Now, “Call me By Your Name,” and “Industry “Baby.”
5:50 pm (PST) Singer Kelsi Ballerini and Anthony take the stage to present the award Best Country Album and artist Chris Stapleton won the award.

5:55 pm (PST) The next performance is Billie Eilish gave an dynamic and emotional performance of “Happier Than Ever” and the best part of the performance is seeing Eilish wearing a t-shirt of the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. A well done performance from Eilish.

6:07 pm (PST) The talented Olivia Rodrigo won Best New Artist award and what is amazing is how thankful Rodrigo is for those who have helped her through the journey.
6:13 pm (PST) Noah introduces music legends Bonnie Raitt and Joni Mitchell to the stage where both artists introduce the next performance. Country artist Brandi Carlile stunned the audience with her song “Right On Time.”

6:20 pm (PST) Noah introduces Nas to the stage where the rapper performed his songs ” I Can”, “One Mic”, “Nobody “and “Rare Form.” Nas still knows how to perform rap music because the crowd is loving the performance.
6:35 pm (PST ) Rapper Ludacris presents the award Best Rap Performance. Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar won the award for the song “Family Ties.” A well deserved win for the duo!
6:37 pm (PST) Country singer Chris Stapleton takes the stage to perform his smash hit “Cold.” Stapleton kills this performance with his strong voice and killer guitar playing. The audience enjoyed the music as well!
6:49 pm (PST) Noah expressed how music can lift spirits and how Ukraine needs to have their spirits lifted as the war continues. When the powerful speech from Volodymyr Zelenskyy was over musician John Legend appeared on the stage and played his piano while singing the song “Free”. What a bittersweet performance!

7:02 pm (PST) Noah is hanging out with BTS and welcomes them. The group feels great and here is a fun fact the group learned english from the show “Friends.” Soon after Tony Bennett appeared on video introducing his singer partner Lady Gaga to the stage. Gaga’s performance of “Love For Sale” and “Do I Love You” is absolutely stunning! Gaga sure does know to sing classic music!
7:10 pm (PST) Actor Billy Porter takes the stage to present the award for Best R&B Album. Artist Jazmine Sullivan won the award for her record Heaux Tales. Sullivan mentioned how her music helped her to deal with the shame from the choices she made at the age of 20 and Sullivan hopes her music inspires other women to do great things for their lives.
7:22 pm (PST) Noah introduces the crowd to musician and actor Jared Leto because Leto is presenting the award for Best Pop Vocal Album. Surprisingly, Olivia Rodrigo won the award for her album “Sour.” Well done!
7:25 pm (PST) Noah told the crowd why the Foo Fighters were nor present for the Grammys. With a soft look at the camera Noah wishes love to those who are saddened by Hawkins death. The Grammys put together a video tribute to honor Hawkins and other artists who have sadly passed away this year. Also the performance by Ben Platt, Cynthia Erivo, Leslie Odom, Jr; and Rachel Zegler is wonderful by how the artists express their heartfelt emotions while performing.
7:36 pm (PST) Noah introduces Jon Batiste to the stage where Batiste dazzles the audience with his song “Freedom” and the crowd loved his performance! Great work on Batiste’s part because he is not afraid to speak his mind!
7:47 pm (PST) Noah pointed out how before COVID -19 happened the world felt Bieber fever and right after those words Noah welcomed Justin Bieber, Daniel Daniel Caesar and Giveon to the stage. Where the trio performed the tune “Peaches.” The crowd is loving it!
7:56 pm (PST) Singer Advril Lavigne walks on the stage to present the award for Best pop duo/group performance. Singer Doja Cat and SZA won the award for their performance on “Kiss Me More.”
7:59 pm (PST) Noah introduces H.E.R.’s tour manager Jeanine McLean-Williams to the stage where she welcomes H.E.R., Travis Barker, Lenny Kravits, Jimmy Jam, and Terry to the stage. All three musicians blasts people’s mind with a top notch musical performance.
8:07 pm (PST) Keith Urban walks on the stage to present the award Record Of The Year and The dynamic duo Silk Sonic won the award for their album Leave The Door Open. Well done!
8:15 pm (PST) Carrie Underwood sings “Ghost Story” for the first time and the performance is beautiful because people can relate to the meaningful lyrics and Underwood knows how to create outstanding music.
8:23 pm (PST) Four time Grammy winner Lenny Kravits presents the award for Album of The Year. The winner of the award goes to We Are by Jon Batiste and what is amazing is how passionate Batiste is with his music. What a great win!
8:27 pm (PST) Noah closes things off with kind words and welcomes country band Brothers Osborn to the stage. The duo performed their song “Dead Man’s Curve” and the audience truly enjoyed the performance!
Overall, The 64th Annual Grammy Award Show was fun to watch and next year should be just as good!
