Made in America, the newborn festival curated by rapper Jay-Z, has added more award-winning artists to its early September line-up.
Joining previously-announced artists like Janelle Monae, Santigold, D’Angelo, Maybach Music, and Afrojack will be artists Run-DMC, Chris Cornell, Drake, Jill Scott, Alesso, Gary Clark Jr, The Hives, Nicky Romeroy, DJ Shadow, Otto Knows, and Michael Wood.
The Made in America festival is named after a song from Watch the Throne, the collaborative album by Kanye West and Jay-Z that came out in 2011 and features Frank Ocean on its hook. Sponsored by Budweiser, this is the festival’s first annual occurrence.
The festival takes place on September 1st and 2nd in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park. Tickets for the festival can be found at Ticketmaster.com and Livenation.com
