50 Cent is pretty set on releasing his new album July 3. In fact, he’s so set that he’s willing to do it with or without his label’s approval. More details after the jump.
As reported by Prefix, 50 Cent is determined to release his album July 3 whether or not Interscope allows him to. It appears that these problems arose just before 50 Cent’s 5-record deal with Interscope had wrapped up. Apparently, the key reason he’s so adamant about the record coming out on this date is because he wants it to surface just before his birthday, July 6.
Here’s what 50 Cent had to say about the ordeal:
There’s a lot more business involved than the general public is aware of…. I’m releasing my album July 3rd, whether it has commercial promotions or not. My birthday is July 6 and I planned for it. And I’m doing everything that I planned to do regardless if its huge airplay or not. I could care less, I’m putting the record out.
