On March 17th, as a part of SXSW, the film Big Easy Express will premier at the Paramount Theater. The screening will be followed by a Q & A session with the director Emmet Malloy, producers Tim Lynch, Mike Luba and Bryan Ling, along with members of the bands featured in the film- Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros. Afterwards, the members of the bands will perform an exclusive acoustic set.
The film Big Easy Express traces the musical journey of the three bands Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros. In a throwback fashion, the bands go on tour via vintage trains.
The event will be open to all SXSW Film, Music, Gold and Platinum Badge holders, as well as anyone with SXSW Film Passes and Music Wristbands. A limited number of advance single tickets are on sale at the Paramount Theater website. These tickets, however, don’t necessarily ensure seating; only after badge holders and those with wristband enter will ticketholders be allowed entry. If there are any remaining seats, $10 tickets will be sold at the theater 15 minutes prior to the screening.
