The Glass Animals concert at the Troubadour was one to remember. Like other shows on their Deja Vu tour, it sold out in seconds. They played a range of music from old hits like “Black Mambo” to unreleased tracks like “Tangerine.”
Lead Singer Dave Bayley gave such an energetic performance that the audience couldn’t help but feed off his energy. Before the show was even halfway over you could see he was drenched in sweat. The best moment was right after the lights went down between songs, and the audience realized Dave had disappeared from the stage. He reappeared up on the balcony and maneuvered his way to the center rail to sing their mega-hit “Gooey” from above the crowd. At one point later a fan threw a tie-dye shirt at the stage, Dave thanked the fan and put the shirt aside for the rest of the show. That is until they came out for the encore. He slipped the shirt over his jersey to the cheers from the crowd and finished off the night with another unreleased track. Their unconventional style made for a memorable show.
