In what is the most bizarre concert lineup this side of the Blink-182/Lil Wayne tour, Guns ‘N Roses will be joined by opening act Snoop Dogg at the AmericanAirlines Arena on 1/31 as part of the Super Bowl Music Festival. Other artists perform as part of the multi-day music “festival” that’s centered around Super Bowl LIV include DJ Khalid, Meek Mill, Da Baby and Megan Thee Stallion and Maroon 5 with Dan + Shay.
Guns ‘N Roses are working on a new album according to guitarist Slash, which was also further confirmed by Richard Fortus. He gave fans of the venerable ’80s metal icons hope for a follow-up to Chinese Democracy later this year. It would be the first album created together by Slash, Axl Rose and Duff McKagen since The Spaghetti Incident?. After GNR play in Miami, which is their first show of 2020 and only show scheduled in the United States for now, they’ll head to Europe to continue what has been one of the most successful tours of all time. Slash, Axl and McKagen buried the hatchet a few years ago to announce the Not In This Lifetime Tour, which kicked off with an intimate concert at the Troubadour, which just so happens to be the site of their first ever concert.
Snoop Dogg has also been active, recently releasing two new songs. The first was a song called “Bygones Be Bygones,” which the rapper seems to make peace with his former label head Suge Knight while the second was a cover of Nick Cave’s famous “Red Right Hand.”
